CO-OP OVERVIEW

Families will attend together every Monday.  We will begin each co-op day with worship and announcements, and end each day leaving the building being loaned to us cleaned and fresh.  There will be 5 class periods throughout the day (the morning two classes will be blocked as one longer class for Middle School), with a lunch and recess time as well.  Parents from the co-op will serve as teachers, and those not teaching will be assigned to classrooms as assistants.

We believe that parents are the ultimate teachers and decision-makers for their children!  With that said, participating in a class that only happens one day per week becomes significantly more meaningful when students engage with that information.  You will notice a wide range of time that it may take for a student to have meaningful engagement at home with each subject - that is due to different children working at different paces, and some weeks requiring more attention than others.  The need for mid-week engagement also increases as students progress to more advanced levels.  If you have questions about how our classes may fit into your established homeschooling schedule, please reach out!  Our director delights in talking to families about this very thing!  kcconnectedhomeschool@gmail.com

We also offer childcare classrooms for younger siblings of students that fit into the above chart, so that entire families can attend Co-Op Day together.  While babies typically stick with moms before they are walking, we usually offer two rooms for childcare with moms assigned to each one.  The rooms are divided to offer the best fit for the develop of the children in our program.

Our High School program is in development, so if you have a High School student that would like to participate, please contact Christa.  kcconnectedhomeschool@gmail.com
