Co-Op Overview
KC Connected Homeschool meets in South Kansas City on Mondays during the school year. We offer programming for families with K-12 homeschooled students. We are a fully cooperative homeschool group, so we require 1 parent from each elementary family to participate on campus during co-op days. Middle and High School students are eligible for our drop off program (middle school drop-off is considered on a case-by-case basis)..png)
KCCH exists to: EQUIP, EMPOWER, ENGAGE.
As a FAMILY CO-OP, we do things together. Parents stay on campus, and we work together to provide quality instruction and discipleship to our children. We teach classes, assist each other in all areas of the co-op, and encourage one another in our faith and in our family life. We speak into the hearts of each other's children, and we strive together for peaceful and emotionally healthy homeschools. In short, we
are PARENT-POWERED. Parents from the co-op serve as instructors, and those not teaching are assigned to classrooms as assistants.
Our co-op is a full-day program that meets on Mondays from September to May. Our Morning Block is a robust Language Arts program, offering age-appropriate instruction for all grades. Starting in 2nd grade, all Morning Block classes have required homework assignments for mid-week completion. Afternoon classes provide a variety of course work for different grade levels. You can learn more about what's offered at different levels on our program pages. Our elementary afternoon classes do not require homework. Middle School and High School classses require mid-week homework.
We believe in family sovereignty, so all instruction and homework assignments are designed to enhance your homeschool experience. We work hard to partner with parents - NOT to overwhelm or overstep your God-given place in your family!
Because we attend co-op as a family, we have classrooms for younger siblings! Our preschool room will be available to younger siblings ages 1-5 that are not yet ready to enter our K-1 classroom. At these ages, we provide lightly structured activities during each class period of the day while also giving plenty of time for free play and physical activity.
We do no enroll families until their oldest child is in Kindergarten or above.
The members-only platform on our website also provides transcript building services, assignment and grade tracking, attendance tracking, communication, community perks, and so much more!
